Bring back the skeeters, we are renting them by the hour!
I meant to get this up two days ago and Yahoo! News just kindly reminded me of how much of a slacker I am…anyway, I hope there was bug spray in the gift baskets at last week’s TED (stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference in Long Beach, CA because gillion-dadillionaire Bill Gates brought mosquitoes as visual aid (obviously using an overhead projector wasn’t good enough) to make a point about the seriousness of malaria. He released a jar of the live skeeters on to the conference attendees and said, “not only poor people should experience this.” Geez, they got to take that from us too?? I kid, I kid.
Don’t panic, turns out the mosquitoes were malaria-free, but I’m sure some of the kids in the audience were wishing they had an extra pair of underpants in the pocket of their $3,000 suit.
And not one but two eyebrows up to Gates for pulling such a ballsy stunt. I wonder if he would be willing to T.P. the Republicans in congress to drive home the point that the economy is going down the toilet.
