Forty years ago today the iconic television show, Sesame Street debuted on PBS. Produced by Sesame Workshop, Sesame Street has paved the way in educational programming and initiatives, and it’s beloved characters have helped create a merchandising empire. The new season, premiering today, kicks off with the First Lady, Michelle Obama; and the theme this year is nature.
Other celebrity guests stopping by this season include Cameron Diaz, Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal, Jimmy Fallon, Ricky Gervais, Adam Sandler and Judah Friedlander.
